


It’s a really innovative way to visualize and execute a powerful feature. The funkiest modulators are the Combinators which allow you to blend together two modulators into a single output. The LFO’s have a big list of preset shapes to choose from, the Function envelopes allow for plenty of breakpoints, and the Randomizers are a total blast. We won’t dive much into the details but each modulator has a lot of flexibility. That’s a whole lot of modulation ability right there. 3 Randomization Engines (similar to LFO’s).
Arturia pigments 2. mod#


The Sampler Engine comes with an expanded FX slot where the Unison was on the other two Engines. Change the direction of the grains, the pitch, and even how the grains are shaped. You can load up to six samples in the Sampler Engine.Įach sample can be shaped using the Granular parameters pictured above. This addition increases the complexity possible with Pigments’ prior features. The Sampler Engine is a new addition to Pigments as part of the most recent update. Let’s move on to the Wavetable Synthesis Engine below. You can send the whole synth mix to one of two filters, adjust the global modulation, and there’s even a noise generator. Finally, there is the Super mode which increases the number of voices in the style of the Roland Jupiter SUPERSAW. Pigments 2 has it is own creamy, warm, modern analogue style tone you have immediately fell in love. Then there is a Chords mode which allows you to choose a chord preset. Premium Artist Preset Pack is a collection of highly anticipated presets for Arturia‘s virtual analogue, wavetable, sample and granular synthesizer, Pigments 2. We get a Classic mode which allows you to increase the number of voices. The second global parameter we love is the Unison mode. This allows you to tune the synth in an explicitly musical manner. You can select which notes you want to omit from the coarse tuning knob. The first worth mentioning is the Mod Quantize. The Analog Synthesizer has some global parameters that apply to each oscillator. That’s a great feature, we’ve docked other synths for lacking visuals like that. You’ll quickly notice the oscillators display the waveforms and even display their movement. You can activate key tracking, FM synthesis, and adjust the waveform of each. This is a new approach to building sounds.The Analog Synthesis engine mode opens three oscillators for adjustment. Thanks to its unique interface, Pigments doesn’t just make complex modulations easy, it makes them fun. Scanning a matrix for the right parameter works, but it isn’t the only way.
Arturia pigments 2. Patch#
Process your patch with exciting contemporary effects like wave folder and multi filter, or vintage studio reverbs, tape delays, and EQs. Run it through 2 filters, with any combination of iconic analog filters or modern formant and surgeon filters you want. Add controlled, or totally wild random changes to any parameter with a Turing probability generator. Assign modulators to animate your sound, and breathe life into it. Experiment with 3 envelopes, 3 LFOs, and 3 function generators. You can even morph wavetables, granularize samples, and import your own sounds to warp and contort. Pigments features a twin audio engine, letting you mix virtual analog and wavetable oscillators with a sample engine to create the perfect starting point for your patch.
